Medical Training & Clinical Experience
Dr. Emmanuel Tancinco completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (2005–2008), earning Best Resident of the Year in 2008. He then spent nearly two decades practicing as an internist and hospitalist—building deep, real-world experience managing complex medical conditions across the full spectrum of adult health.
In 2020, a personal turning point reshaped his focus. He became severely ill with COVID-19 and was hospitalized, requiring noninvasive ventilation and high-flow oxygen therapy. He developed autonomic dysfunction, leading to syncope upon standing. During one episode in the hospital, he fainted after standing up and sustained left-sided rib fractures. His recovery was prolonged.
Since then, he has been more prone to various infectious illnesses despite maintaining a healthy lifestyle, good nutrition, and regular exercise for many years. He also developed easy fatigability and difficulty sleeping. Frustrated by these persistent symptoms, he sought care from a functional and integrative medicine physician. Through targeted nutritional strategies, evidence-informed supplementation, addressing hormonal imbalances, and personalized dietary modifications aimed at reducing inflammation, strengthening the immune system, and supporting gut health, he improved significantly—recovering fully and reducing his risk of future illness.
Motivated by both clinical experience and personal results, Dr. Tancinco pursued advanced training through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and the Institute for Functional Medicine. As an Internal Medicine physician, he further expanded into obesity medicine, metabolic health, and bioidentical hormone optimization, earning board certification and fellowship-level training through the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine, The American Board of Obesity Medicine, and advanced education in anti-aging metabolic medicine and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.
Philosophy & Mission
Dr. Tancinco became deeply committed to studying root-cause medicine. He pursued advanced training in functional and integrative medicine and developed a strong passion for this approach. Over time, he grew especially interested in more comprehensive functional assessments, which helped him identify key biochemical imbalances and underlying drivers of inflammation.
Today, Dr. Tancinco’s approach blends nearly 20 years of Internal Medicine experience with his background in physical therapy and his advanced training in functional, metabolic, and longevity-focused care. His mission is to help patients optimize metabolism and body composition, improve hormonal balance, restore gut health, identify and address root causes of symptoms, and support healthier aging—so they can feel better, function better, and live life at their fullest potential.
